Abstract
A liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance is provided that may improve the safety of a battery and restrain the deterioration in performance of the battery without deteriorating the properties of the battery. The liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance includes a hydrophobic salt having a melting point of 80° C. or more and a hydrophilic salt of an alkali or an alkaline earth.

1-8. (canceled)
A liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance comprising a hydrophobic salt having a melting point of 80° C. or more and a hydrophilic salt of an alkali or an alkaline earth, wherein the hydrophobic salt is diethylmethylisopropylammoniumbistrifluoromethanesulfonylimide or tetraethylammoniumbistrifluoromethanesulfonylimide.
(canceled)
An electrode layer comprising at least one of a water reactive active material for reacting with water and a sulfide-based solid electrolyte, and a liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance comprising a hydrophobic salt having a melting point of 80° C. or more and a hydrophilic salt of an alkali or an alkaline earth.
An electrolyte layer comprising a liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance comprising a hydrophobic salt having a melting point of 80° C. or more and a hydrophilic salt of an alkali or an alkaline earth, and a sulfide-based solid electrolyte.
A battery comprising at least one of:
- an electrode layer containing at least one of a water reactive active material for reacting with water and a sulfide-based solid electrolyte, and a liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance comprising a hydrophobic salt having a melting point of 80° C. or more and a hydrophilic salt of an alkali or an alkaline earth;
- and an electrolyte layer containing the liquid hydrophobic phase transition substance and the sulfide-based solid electrolyte.
