A device for applying a quantity of liquid to a substrate surface, the surface having a predetermined curvature, the device comprising a roller having:
- a top end;
- a bottom end;
- and
- an applicator surface that:
- defines an axis of rotational symmetry passing through both the top and bottom ends;
- and
- is sized and shaped to be complementary to the predetermined curvature of the substrate surface.

- a first side;

- a second side opposed to the first side such that the first side and second side meet along an applicator edge;
