Abstract
The present invention relates to an antithrombotic composition comprising a colored-bean extract or a fraction of the extract. The antithrombotic composition is highly useful for the treatment of diseases of the circulatory system, including cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, arteriosclerosis, hypertension and diabetes, which are caused by thrombosis.

A method for inhibiting thrombosis, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a colored-bean extract obtained by extracting with water, a C1-C5 alcohol or a mixture thereof and an organic acid to a subject in such need.
A method for inhibiting thrombosis, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a fraction of a colored-bean extract obtained by extracting with water, a C1-C5 alcohol or a mixture thereof and an organic acid to a subject in such need.
A method for alleviating or treating vascular disease, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a colored-bean extract obtained by extracting with water, a C1-C5 alcohol or a mixture thereof and an organic acid to a subject in such need.
A method for preventing or alleviating vascular disease, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a fraction of a colored-bean extract obtained by extracting with water, a C1-C5 alcohol or a mixture thereof and an organic acid to a subject in such need.
