Abstract
The present invention provides, among other things, a copolymer comprising at least one donor monomer and at least one acceptor monomer. The polymer may optionally further comprise at least one additional comonomer. The polymers are useful as a charge-transport, semiconducting, electrochemical conducting, photoconducting, or light emitting material. Microelectronic devices comprising such polymers (e.g., as a heterojunction therein) are also described.
Claims32
A copolymer comprising at least one donor monomer and at least one acceptor monomer,
- said donor monomer selected from the group consisting of:
- said acceptor monomer selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein each R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, and R7 is independently selected from the group consisting of H, C1-C20 alkyl, C1-C20 fluoroalkyl, C1-C20 alkoxy, C1-C20 fluoroalkoxy, halo, aryl, CN and NO2;
- or an acceptor:
- wherein each of R1 and R2 of A1 is halo.
A polymer comprising at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein each R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 is independently selected from the group consisting of H, C1-C20 alkyl, C1-C20 fluoroalkyl, C1-C20 alkoxy, C1-C20 fluoroalkoxy, halo, aryl, CN and NO2;
- or
- a monomer:
- wherein each of R1 and R2 of A1 is halo.
(canceled)
A monomer useful for the production of a polymer, said monomer selected from the group consisting of:
- wherein each R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 is independently selected from the group consisting of H, C1-C20 alkyl, C1-C20 fluoroalkyl, C1-C20 alkoxy, C1-C20 fluoroalkoxy, halo, aryl, CN and NO2;
- or a monomer:
- wherein each of R1 and R2 of A1 is halo;
- wherein X and Y are each independently selected from the group consisting of H and reactive functional groups.
