Abstract
A pneumatic assembly for a paintball gun is provided. The pneumatic assembly includes a valve stem, and a bolt slidably mounted on the valve stem. The bolt includes at least one bolt port arranged through a sidewall of the bolt. A sealing member is provided on the valve stem in communication with an inner surface of the bolt. The bolt slides from a rearward position to a forward position along the valve stem. Compressed gas flows through the bolt port and through the bolt aperture to fire a projectile when the bolt is in the forward position. A paintball gun incorporating the pneumatic assembly is also provided.
Claims87
A paintball gun, comprising:
- a body configured to receive compressed gas from a source of compressed gas;
- a bolt slidably arranged within the body;
- a sealing member arranged in the body;
- and
- wherein the movement of the bolt relative to the sealing member opens and closes a flow path for the release of compressed gas to fire a paintball from the paintball gun.

A pneumatic assembly for a paintball gun, said assembly comprising:
- a body configured to receive compressed gas from a source of compressed gas;
- a bolt slidably arranged within a portion of the body on a bolt guide, said bolt configured to move between a loading position and a firing position, the bolt having a forward bolt hole;
- and
- the bolt guide comprising at least one opening configured to communicate compressed gas to the forward bolt hole when the bolt is in the firing position.

A gas intake control device for a paintball gun comprising:
- a solenoid that controls gas flow for driving a bolt, the solenoid comprising a valve slider displaceable along an axis parallel with said bolt, the valve slider having a portion having a reduced circumference;
- a valve passage formed at one end of the solenoid, the valve passage having a through opening corresponding to the valve slider,
- a first gas passage, a second gas passage, and a gas outlet interconnected with the through opening, the through opening being configured to receive a spring that facilitates axial movement of the valve slider.
