Abstract
One embodiment provides an electronic apparatus, including: a first power supply module configured to supply power to a storage device provided in an external device when the external device is connected to the electronic apparatus; a receiving module configured to receive, from the external device, identification information thereof; and a second power supply module configured to supply power to an input/output control module of the external device if authentication of the identification information received by the receiving module succeeds.

An electronic apparatus, comprising:
- a first power supply module configured to supply power to a storage device provided in an external device when the external device is connected to the electronic apparatus;
- a receiving module configured to receive, from the external device, identification information thereof;
- and
- a second power supply module configured to supply power to an input/output control module of the external device if authentication of the identification information received by the receiving module succeeds.

A power supply control method, comprising:
- supplying power to a storage device provided in an external device when the external device is connected to an electronic apparatus;
- receiving, from the external device, identification information thereof;
- and
- supplying power to an input/output control module of the external device if authentication of the received identification information succeeds, and abstaining from supplying power to the input/output control module if the authentication of the received identification information fails.
