Abstract
Methods and apparatus for client-side context managers are disclosed. An example context manager implemented on a client machine includes a file system watcher to monitor a location of a file system implemented on the client machine for creation of a new item, wherein a virtual application implemented on a server is provided access to the file system; and a connection establisher to establish a connection between the context manager and the virtual application in response to the creation of the new item in the location of the file system by the virtual application.
Claims20
A context manager implemented on a client machine, comprising:
- a file system watcher to monitor a location of a file system implemented on the client machine for creation of a new item, wherein a virtual application implemented on a server is provided access to the file system;
- and
- a connection establisher to establish a connection between the context manager and the virtual application in response to the creation of the new item in the location of the file system by the virtual application.
A method for use with a healthcare information system, comprising:
- monitoring a location of a file system implemented on a client machine for creation of a new item, wherein a virtual application implemented on a server is provided access to the file system;
- and
- establishing, by the client machine, a connection between a context manager implemented on the client machine and the virtual application in response to the creation of the new item in the location of the file system by the virtual application.
A tangible machine readable medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause a machine to at least:
- monitor a location of a file system implemented on a client machine for creation of a new item, wherein a virtual application implemented on a server is provided access to the file system;
- and
- establish, by the client machine, a connection between a context manager implemented on the client machine and the virtual application in response to the creation of the new item in the location of the file system by the virtual application.
