Abstract
Systems and methods are described for embodiments of a mobile virtualization platform (MVP) where in some aspects a wireless mobile device including multiple virtual machines (VMs) may receive data from a remote content provider and process/execute the data using an appropriate virtual machine. In some examples, the MVP may facilitate communication between and coordination among different virtual machines in the MVP, such as to facilitate optimization of data processing/execution.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving, at a wireless mobile device comprising multiple virtual machines, data sent from a remote content provider system, wherein the data is sent over a first wireless network;
- processing the data by a first application of a first virtual machine of the multiple virtual machines;
- communicating between the first virtual machine and a second virtual machine of the multiple virtual machines to transfer the processing to the second virtual machine;
- and
- processing the data by a second application of the second virtual machine.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions, which when executed by a processor, cause a wireless device to perform steps of:
- receiving, at the wireless device comprising a plurality of wireless transmitters configured to transmit over a first wireless protocol and a second wireless protocol, data from a remote content provider system over a first wireless network using the first wireless protocol;
- executing the data using a first virtual machine from among a plurality of virtual machines configured to execute on the wireless device;
- selecting a second virtual machine from among the plurality of virtual machines configured to execute on the local device;
- and
- switching execution of the content from the first virtual machine to the second virtual machine in response to a triggering event.
A system comprising:
- a processor configured to execute computer-executable instructions;
- a memory storing the computer-executable instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the system to perform steps comprising:
- receiving, at a wireless mobile device comprising multiple virtual machines, data sent from a remote content provider system, wherein the data is sent over a first wireless network;
- processing the data by a first application of a first virtual machine of the multiple virtual machines;
- communicating between the first virtual machine and a second virtual machine of the multiple virtual machines to transfer the processing to the second virtual machine;
- and
- processing the data by a second application of the second virtual machine.
