Abstract
Methods, computer systems, and computer-storage media for accessing clinical information on a mobile device are provided. A plug-in application receives from a mobile device a set of authorization credentials and a request for clinical information. A set of clinical information is determined based on the set of authorization credentials. The set of clinical information is retrieved from clinical information servers, and the set of clinical information is parsed and populated into a generic hierarchical structure. The populated hierarchical structure is communicated to the mobile device where it is subsequently rendered for display.
Claims20
One or more computer-storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, facilitate a method of accessing clinical information on a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving from the mobile device:
- (1) a set of authorization credentials associated with a user, and (2) a request for clinical information from the user;
- determining a set of clinical information associated with the set of authorization credentials;
- retrieving the set of clinical information;
- populating the set of clinical information into a generic hierarchical structure;
- and
- communicating the populated generic hierarchical structure to the mobile device.
One or more computer-storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, facilitate a method of creating a clinical order on a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving from the mobile device:
- (1) a set of authorization credentials associated with a clinician, and (2) a request for clinical information;
- determining a set of clinical information associated with the set of authorization credentials and the request for clinical information;
- retrieving the set of clinical information, the set of clinical information including at least one item of clinical information;
- determining at least one action item for the at least one item of clinical information, the at least one action item comprising a first action item uniform resource locator (URL) with a set of placeholders;
- populating a generic hierarchical structure with the set of clinical information including the at least one action item;
- communicating the populated generic hierarchical structure to the mobile device;
- incident to communicating the populated generic hierarchical structure to the mobile device, receiving a second action item URL from the mobile device wherein the second action item URL comprises the first action item URL with a set of user-inputted values in place of the placeholders;
- extracting the set of user-inputted values;
- creating a clinical order based on the set of user-inputted values;
- and
- communicating the clinical order to one or more order servers.
One or more computer-storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, facilitate a method of accessing third-party information on a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving from the mobile device a request for clinical information, wherein the request is received by a plug-in application on the mobile device;
- receiving a set of authorization credentials associated with a clinician, wherein the clinician initiated the request for clinical information;
- determining a set of clinical information associated with the set of authorization credentials, the set of clinical information comprising information about one or more clinical patients;
- retrieving the set of clinical information;
- populating the set of clinical information into a generic hierarchical structure;
- and
- communicating the populated generic hierarchical structure to the mobile device.
