Abstract
Provided is a method for preparing a grease composition, which comprises mixing an amine in a lubricating bas oil and an isocyanate in a lubricating base oil under high pressure and high flow rate impingement. In one embodiment, the mixing and reaction occurs in a reaction injection molding device. The resulting grease composition is an extremely low noise grease, being virtually clear of any urea thickener particles.

A grease product comprising a lubricating base oil and at least 20 weight % of a thickener, the grease having no particles seen at 200× magnification.
A grease product comprising a lubricating base oil and from about 10-15 wt % thickener, and the grease having no particles seen at 200× magnification.
A grease product comprised of a lubricating base oil and a thickener which shows a change in penetration value from P(60) to P(100,000) of 60 penetration points or less.
