Abstract
An imaging apparatus includes a first imaging unit configured to generate a first image, a second imaging unit configured to generate a second image, a detector configured to detect trigger information for start of shooting based on one of the first image and the second image, and a processor configured to perform a capturing process on both the first imaging unit and the second imaging unit when the detector detects the trigger information.

An imaging apparatus comprising:
- a first imaging unit configured to generate a first image;
- a second imaging unit configured to generate a second image;
- a detector configured to detect trigger information for start of shooting based on one of the first image and the second image;
- and
- a processor configured to perform a capturing process on both the first imaging unit and the second imaging unit when the detector detects the trigger information.

- a focus detector configured to detect a focus target according to a predetermined focus detecting process based on image information for one of the first image and the second image;
