Light emitting device

A light emitting device comprising:

• a plurality of pixels;
• a first group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and each corresponding to a first color;
• a second group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and each corresponding to a second color, the second group of sub-pixels being adjacent to the first group of sub-pixels;
• a third group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and corresponding to a third color, the third group of sub-pixels being adjacent to the first group of sub-pixels;
• and
• a fourth group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and each corresponding to a fourth color, the fourth group of sub-pixels being adjacent to the second group of sub-pixels and to the third group of sub-pixels,
• wherein one of the pixels comprises sub-pixels of each of the groups of sub-pixels.

A light emitting module comprising on a substrate:

• a pixel portion comprising:
• a plurality of pixels;
• a first group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and each corresponding to a first color;
• a second group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and each corresponding to a second color, the second group of sub-pixels being adjacent to the first group of sub-pixels;
• and
• a third group of sub-pixels adjacent to one another and corresponding to a third color, the third group of sub-pixels being adjacent to the first group of sub-pixels,
• wherein one of the pixels comprises sub-pixels of each of the groups of sub-pixels;
• a drive circuit portion configured to drive the pixel portion;
• an external input terminal connected to the drive circuit portion;
• and
• a sealing substrate attached to the substrate with a sealant so as to sandwich the pixel portion between the substrate and the sealing substrate.
