Abstract
A method for dispersing oil spilled into the aqueous environment comprising the treatment of the spilled oil with an oil dispersant composition comprising a phospholipid and a polysaccharide derivative is disclosed.
Claims22
A method for dispersing oil spilled into the aqueous environment comprising treating the spilled oil with an oil dispersant composition comprising a phospholipid and a polysaccharide derivative.
A composition for dispersing oil spilled into the aqueous environment comprising a phospholipid and a polysaccharide derivative.
A composition for dispersing oil spilled into the aqueous environment comprising a phospholipid and a polysaccharide derivative.
An interracially active composition wherein said composition, when exposed to a quartz crystal microbalance sensor coated with silicon dioxide, initially exhibits a sharp decrease in frequency and increase in dissipation and a short-lived plateau, followed by a second stage in which the frequency decreases at a slow rate and dissipation increases at a fast rate, followed by a third stage in which a great increase in frequency and decrease in dissipation is exhibited when the surface is rinsed with a composition comprising essentially water.
A composition comprising oil, a phospholipid and a cellulose ether wherein said composition, when exposed to a quartz crystal microbalance sensor coated with silicon dioxide, initially exhibits a sharp decrease in frequency and increase in dissipation and a short-lived plateau, followed by a second stage in which the frequency decreases at a slow rate and dissipation increases at a fast rate, followed by a third stage in which a great increase in frequency and decrease in dissipation is exhibited when the surface is rinsed with a composition comprising essentially water.
