Abstract
A water purifier includes an outer shell that at least partially defines an open interior. At least one UVC light emitting diode is at least partially disposed within the open interior. A controller is disposed within the open interior and communicatively connected to the at least one UVC light emitting diode. The controller operates the UVC light emitting diode to emit UVC band electromagnetic energization for a predetermined time period to kill microorganisms found in water about the water purifier.

A water purifier comprising:
- an outer shell that at least partially defines an open interior;
- at least one UVC light emitting diode (LED) at least partially disposed within the open interior;
- and
- a controller disposed within the open interior and communicatively connected to the at least one UVC LED, the controller operates the UVC LED to emit UVC band electromagnetic energization for a predetermined time period to kill microorganisms.
