A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that the yarn end disposal means (9) includes a cutting unit (10), with the aid of which the end section to be removed (6) is able to be separated from the rest of the yarn (6).

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that the spinning point (1) comprises a withdrawal device (12) for the withdrawal of the yarn (6) from the spinning device (2), wherein the yarn end disposal means (9) is arranged between the outlet (5) of the spinning device (2) and the withdrawal device (12).

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that the winding device (8) and/or the withdrawal device (12) comprises a reversibly driven driving unit.

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims characterized in that the spinning machine comprises a plurality of adjacently arranged spinning points (1), wherein each spinning point (1) includes a separate yarn end disposal means (9).

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that a valve (14) and/or a flow diverter (15) is assigned to the suction channel (11) with the aid of which the air pressure within the suction channel (11) is able to be regulated.

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that the winding device (8) includes a yarn-traversing device (16) and in that a yarn-lifting device (17) is assigned to the yarn-traversing device (16), with the aid of which the yarn (6) is able to be taken out of the effective range of the yarn-traversing device (16).

A spinning machine according to the previous claim, characterized in that the yarn-lifting device (17) includes a lifting element (18), which preferentially with the aid of a pneumatic cylinder (19) is movable in relation to the yarn (6).

A spinning machine according to the previous claim, characterized in that the lifting element (18) extends at least over the width of the winding device (8).

A spinning machine according to one or more of the previous claims, characterized in that the winding device (8) includes a yarn-traversing device (16), wherein the yarn-traversing device (16) comprises at least one traversing element (24) which is able to come into contact with the yarn (6), which traversing element (24) is able to be brought into a position in which it does not come into contact with the yarn during the winding off of the yarn (6) from the winding device (8).

A process for removing an end section of a yarn (6) at a spinning point (1) of a spinning machine prior to a subsequent piecing process, wherein the spinning point (1) comprises a spinning device (2) having an inlet (3) for a fibre material (4) and an outlet (5) for the yarn 6 which is produced in the spinning device (2) from the fibre material (4), also comprising a feed device (7) for feeding the fibre material (4) into the spinning device (2) and a winding device (8) for winding on the produced yarn (6), and wherein subsequent to an interruption of the spinning process at least the end section of the yarn (6) to be removed is wound off the winding device (8), characterized in that the end section is gripped with the aid of a yarn end disposal means (9) that is designed as a component part of the spinning point 1 separated from the rest of the yarn (6) and finally removed from the area of the spinning point (1), wherein the yarn end disposal means (9) is at least arranged partly between the outlet (5) of the spinning device (2) and the winding device (8).

A process according to the previous claim, characterized in that the spinning point (1) comprises a withdrawal device (12) for the withdrawal of the yarn (6) from the spinning device (2), and that the transport speeds of the feed device (7), the withdrawal device (12) and the winding device (8) are gradually reduced to a standstill prior to the winding off of an end section of the yarn (6) to be removed, wherein the reduction takes place in such a way that the end of the produced yarn (6) is located preferably between the outlet (5) of the spinning point (1) and the winding device (8) subsequent to the ending of the speed reduction.
