Abstract
The present invention relates to a rib (1) for supporting and reinforcing an excavation. The invention also relates to a structure and to a method for supporting and reinforcing an excavation. The rib (1) according to the invention comprises at least a structural element (5A) provided with a tubular body (6), preferably with a circular cross section, which defines an inner cavity (9A) adapted to be completely filled with concrete after installation of the rib. The structural element is provided with a filling device (7) operatively couplable to concrete injection means.

A structure for supporting and reinforcing, comprising a plurality of ribs, each rib comprising at least a first structural element which comprises a tubular body provided with an inner cavity adapted to be completely filled with concrete after installation of said rib, said first structural element comprising a filling device operatively couplable to means for injecting concrete into said cavity, wherein said rib is connected to an adjacent rib through one or more connection chains, each rib comprising a plurality of connection rings arranged at predetermined intervals along the relative structural elements, each connection chain being coupled with the ends to connection rings arranged on different ribs at a corresponding height.
