Guide means having tolerance compensation for sewing decorative elements

A guiding device for introducing an oblong intermediate element between at least two decorative elements to join the latter, wherein the guiding device exhibits:

• a first stop for a first decorative element,
• a second stop for a second decorative element,
• a guide rail, whose inner progression corresponds at least partially to the outer contour of the intermediate element, wherein the guide rail exhibits an inlet opening and an outlet opening for the intermediate element,
• a compensation device for offsetting dimensional tolerances of the intermediate element, and
• wherein the compensation device can exert a force on the intermediate element, so that this intermediate element is pressed at least against a region of the guide rail, in this way defining the intermediate element in terms of its relative position to the first and second stop.
