Abstract
A ring element, particularly a thrust bearing race ring, which has a peripheral wall, through which a radial load exerting an interference fit occurs. The peripheral wall is configured such that it forms zones with a large overlap and zones with a reduced overlap that succeed each other in a peripheral direction.
Claims10
A ring element, comprising:
- a ring body having a substantially radially directed first ring front end. face, an inner peripheral wall and an outer peripheral wall,
- wherein at least one of the peripheral walls forms a seating surface through which the ring element is retained in an installed state by an interference fit that exerts a radial load, and the at least one of the peripheral walls that exerts the radial load has, over an extension in a peripheral direction, variable radial distances from a center of the ring body such that the peripheral wall forms zones with a first overlap and zones with a second overlap that succeed one another in the peripheral direction, the second overlap being smaller than the first overlap.
