Abstract

Method and arrangement in a base station for allocating resources to a user equipment. The method and arrangement comprises analyzing a period of time comprising a subset of the predetermined scheduling request opportunities, detecting a scheduling request from the user equipment, establishing priority level information from the detected scheduling request and the subset of the predetermined scheduling request opportunities, and allocating resources to the user equipment, according to the established priority level information. In addition, a method and arrangement in a user equipment for assisting the base station in allocating resources to the user equipment are described.

Dependent claims

A method in a base station (110) for allocating resources to a user equipment (120) served by the base station (110), the user equipment (120) is configured to transmit scheduling requests (SR) to the base station (110) only at certain predetermined scheduling request opportunities (t1, t2, t3, t4, t5), the method comprising the steps of:

analyzing (401) a period of time (200), comprising a subset of the predetermined scheduling request opportunities (t1, t2, t3, t4, t5),
detecting (402) at least one scheduling request (SR), received from the user equipment (120) on at least one scheduling request opportunity (t1, t2, t3, t4, t5) within the analyzed period of time (200),
establishing (403) priority level information from the detected at least one scheduling request (SR) and the subset of the predetermined scheduling request opportunities (t1, t2, t3, t4, t5), and
allocating (405) resources to the user equipment (120), according to the established priority level information.
