Video Player and Portable Computer with Detection

A computer with a communication function, comprising:

• a first communication function that allows communications over a channel;
• a computer communication part, that communicates with a video playing apparatus that plays a video;
• a processor that detects a communication being carried out using said first communication function, and automatically sends a message to said video playing apparatus to pause a playing of the video while said communication is ongoing and automatically stores information in said computer about the video being played during a time that the playing is being paused,
• and said processor controls sending said information to said video playing apparatus about the video being played that was stored in said computer while said playing was paused, when said communication is ended.

A method comprising:

• in a video playing device that plays video, sensing a proximity of a remote computer;
• and
• responsive to sensing said proximity, automatically sending information from said video playing device, to said remote computer, said information indicative of a current program that is playing on said video playing device but different than said current program that is playing;
• and
• sensing an action taken on said remote computer and automatically changing a playing of the video based on action on the remote computer.
