Abstract
Pursuant to some embodiments, insurance systems, methods and devices are provided in which electric vehicle information, including electric vehicle charging information, may be received over a communications network. The electric vehicle charging information may be automatically associated with automobile insurance premium information. An integrated presentation of the electric vehicle charging information and the automobile insurance premium information may then be transmitted, over the communications network, for presentation to an owner of the electric vehicle.
Claims23
An insurance system, comprising:
- a data storage device for storing, updating and providing access to electric vehicle information, including electric vehicle charging information;
- a computer processor for executing program instructions and for retrieving the electric vehicle information from the data storage device;
- a memory, coupled to the computer processor, for storing program instructions for execution by the computer processor;
- and
- an insurance engine comprising program instructions stored in the memory for generating automobile insurance premium information;
- wherein the automobile insurance premium information is associated with the electric vehicle charging information.
A computerized method, comprising:
- receiving, via a communications network, electric vehicle information, including electric vehicle charging information;
- associating, in a processor, the electric vehicle charging information with automobile insurance premium information;
- storing, in a storage device, the associated electric vehicle charging information and automobile insurance premium information;
- and
- transmitting, over the communications network, data representative of the electric vehicle charging information and the automobile insurance premium information for display to an owner of the electric vehicle.
An insurance system for analyzing electric vehicle usage information, comprising:
- a data storage device for storing electric vehicle usage data received via a communications network;
- a computer processor for executing program instructions and for retrieving the electric vehicle usage data from the data storage device;
- and
- a memory, coupled to the computer processor, for storing program instructions for execution by the computer processor for generating automobile insurance premium information;
- wherein the automobile insurance premium information is based on the electric vehicle usage data.
