Sprayable liquid abrasive cleanser with polyethylene glycol

A method for converting a non-sprayable liquid abrasive cleanser composition into a sprayable liquid abrasive cleanser composition, said method comprising the steps of:

• a. producing a liquid abrasive composition by combining:
• (i) from about 10 wt. % to about 25 wt. % calcium carbonate;
• (ii) from about 1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of an anionic surfactant;
• (iii) from about 1 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant;
• (iv) water;
• and (v) an amount sufficient of alkaline and/or acidic pH adjusting agent(s) to buffer the final composition to a pH of from about 10 to about 14;
• and
• b. converting said liquid abrasive composition into a composition sprayable through a manual trigger sprayer by adding from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.20 wt. % of a polyethylene glycol having molecular weight of from about 4,000 to about 1,000,000 to said liquid abrasive composition.

A cleaning system comprising:

• a. a liquid abrasive composition comprising from about 2 wt. % to about 25 wt. % of an abrasive;
• from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.5 wt. % of a polyethylene glycol of molecular weight from about 4,000 to about 1,000,000;
• from about 1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of an anionic surfactant;
• from about 1 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant;
• a pH adjusting agent;
• and, water;
• and
• b. a sprayer package to contain and dispense said composition, said package comprising a bottle having an interior space with said composition therein;
• and a manual trigger sprayer in fluid communication with said composition.

A cleaning system comprising:

• a. a liquid abrasive composition comprising from about 2 wt. % to about 25 wt. % of an abrasive;
• from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.5 wt. % of a polyethylene glycol of molecular weight of about 100,000;
• from about 1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of an anionic surfactant;
• from about 1 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant;
• a pH adjusting agent;
• and, water;
• and
• b. a sprayer package to contain and dispense said composition, said package comprising a bottle having an interior space with said composition therein;
• and a manual trigger sprayer in fluid communication with said composition.
