Abstract
A method for guaranteeing correct establishment of Local IP Access service includes: obtaining the service type of a user equipment (UE) and the equipment capability type of a base station. The method also includes determining whether the UE and the base station are consistent. The method also includes, in response to determining that the UE and the base station are consistent, establishing LIPA service for the UE. The method also includes, in response to determining that the UE and the base station are inconsistent, deciding whether to establish LIPA service for the UE according to the preserved strategy.
Claims22
A method for guaranteeing correct establishment of Local IP Access (LIPA) service, comprising:
- obtaining a service type of a user equipment (UE) and an equipment capability type of a base station;
- determining whether the UE and the base station are consistent;
- in response to determining that the UE and the base station are consistent, establishing LIPA service for the UE;
- and
- in response to determining that the UE and the base station are inconsistent, determining whether to establish LIPA service for the UE according to a preserved strategy.
In a wireless communication system capable of communicating between a user equipment (UE), a source base station, a target base station, and a mobile management entity (MME), a method for guaranteeing correct establishment of Local IP Access (LIPA) service in the MME when the UE is in a handover process, comprising:
- obtaining a service type of the UE and an equipment capability type of the target base station;
- determining whether the UE and the base station are consistent;
- and
- selectively executing a handover process for the UE according to the whether the UE and base station are consistent.
An apparatus for guaranteeing correct establishment of Local IP Access (LIPA) service in a mobile management entity (MME) of a wireless communication system having a user equipment (UE), a base station, and the MME, comprising:
- the MME configured to:
- obtain a service type of the UE and an equipment capability type of the base station;
- determine whether the UE and the base station are consistent;
- in response to determining that the UE and the base station are consistent, establish LIPA service for the UE;
- and
- in response to determining that the UE and the base station are inconsistent, determine whether to establish LIPA service for the UE according to a preserved strategy.
