Abstract
A method for automated manufacture of dentures including providing a digital data set of the individual denture to be produced, a digital separation of the model into dental arch and gingival, producing the dental arch from a ceramic or plastic material using cutting technology, producing the denture base through generative or ablative procedures from predominantly (meth-)acrylate-based plastic materials, connecting the dental arch and gingiva through bonding or joining or a combination of bonding and joining.

1-13. (canceled)
A method for automated manufacture of dentures comprising the steps of providing a digital data set of the individual denture to be produced;
- digitally separating the model into dental arch and gingiva;
- producing the dental arch from a ceramic or plastic material using cutting technology;
- producing the denture base through generative or ablative procedures from predominantly (meth-)acrylate-based plastic materials;
- connecting dental arch and gingiva through bonding or joining or a combination of bonding and joining.
The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of providing a data set of an edentate jaw for providing the digital data set of the denture to be produced by obtained from one of an intraoral scan, a 3D scan of the silicone impression, a combination of said 3D scan and X-ray data and a 3D scan of the dental plaster model.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the digital data set of the denture to be produced is provided through a virtual set-up of the teeth by virtual articulation.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the digital model is separated into cuttable dental arch and artificial gingiva through software.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the dental arch is produced through an ablative production procedure.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the manufacturing of the dental arch through an ablative production procedure is carried out with tooth-coloured, multi-layered plastic material.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the production of the dental arch through an ablative production procedure is carried out with tooth-coloured, multi-layered ceramic material.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the denture base is produced through cutting technology.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the denture base is produced through stereolithography.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the denture base is produced through 3D ink jet printing.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the production of the denture base through generative rapid manufacturing methods is based on one of liquid or low- to high-viscosity, mono- or multi-functional acrylates, methacrylates having a short-, medium- or long-chain aliphatic poly(ethylene glycol)- or dendrimer-based matrix and on mixtures of said individual components.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the bonding of dental arch and denture base is effected as a function of the material using ceramic-plastic bonding agents or plastic-plastic bonding agents.
Method according to at least one of the preceding claims, whereby the joining of dental arch and denture base is effected through mechanical elements, such as, e.g., guide splints, grooves, and suitable retention elements.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
