- a coating layer formed on the core at least partially,
- the coating layer comprises metal unreactive toward lithium.

A method of manufacturing an anode active material, comprising:
- forming a coating layer comprising metal unreactive toward lithium on SiOx (0.5≦x≦1.7) powder.
The method of 13, further comprising heat-treating the SiOx (0.5≦x≦1.7) powder on which the coating layer is formed.
