Abstract
An apparatus for generating a representative fingerprint template is provided. The apparatus includes a calculation unit configured to calculate levels of similarity between N fingerprint templates; and a selection unit configured to select at least one fingerprint template from among the N fingerprint templates as a representative fingerprint template.

An apparatus for generating a representative fingerprint template, comprising:
- a calculation unit configured to calculate levels of similarity between N fingerprint templates;
- and
- a selection unit configured to select at least one fingerprint template from among the N fingerprint templates as a representative fingerprint template.
A method of generating a representative fingerprint template, comprising:
- calculating levels of similarity between N fingerprint templates;
- and
- selecting at least one fingerprint template from among the N fingerprint templates as a representative fingerprint template.
