Abstract
Disclosed is an electrode, including a conductive layer containing a conductive component selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, iron, cobalt, titanium, lead, aluminum, tin, and alloys comprising one of these metals as the principal ingredient thereof, and an oxidation protection layer containing boron oxide, said oxidation protection layer covering the top surface of the conductive layer, or covering both the top surface and the sides of the conductive layer, or covering all locations where the conductive layer has been formed; the electrode being formed by air firing the conductive layer and the oxidation protection layer simultaneously.
Claims15
An electrode comprising:
- a conductive layer, prior to firing, containing a photosensitive conductive paste containing a conductive component selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, iron, cobalt, titanium, lead, aluminum, tin, and alloys comprising one of these metals as the principal ingredient thereof;
- and
- an oxidation protection layer containing boron oxide and covering the top surface of said conductive layer or covering the top and sides of said conductive layer or covering all locations of the conductive layer where-ever the conductive layer has been formed;
- said electrode being formed by air firing said conductive layer and said oxidation protection layer simultaneously.
An electrode comprising:
- a conductive layer containing a conductive component selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, iron, cobalt, titanium, lead, aluminum, and alloys comprising one of these metals as the principal ingredient thereof;
- and
- an oxidation protection layer, prior to firing, containing photosensitive paste containing boron and covering the top surface of said conductive layer or covering the top and sides of said conductive layer or covering all locations of the conductive layer where-ever the conductive layer has been formed;
- said electrode being formed by air firing said conductive layer and said oxidation protection layer simultaneously.
A method for manufacturing an electrode, comprising the steps of:
- coating a photosensitive conductive paste containing a conductive component selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, iron, cobalt, titanium, lead, aluminum, tin, and alloys comprising one of these metals as the principal ingredient thereof, onto a substrate;
- exposing said coated conductive paste in a predetermined pattern;
- developing said exposed conductive paste;
- coating a boron paste containing boron powder on top of said developed conductive paste;
- drying said boron paste;
- and
- air firing said conductive paste and boron paste.
