Abstract
A method is provided for fabricating a seal ring. The method includes positioning a mount assembly adjacent to at least one of an inner diameter and an outer diameter of an annular seal ring, and securing the annular seal ring to the mounting assembly. The method also includes forming at least one of an admission side hook and a steam joint side hook in the annular seal ring.
Claims12
A method for fabricating a seal ring, said method comprising:
- positioning a mount assembly adjacent to at least one of an inner diameter and an outer diameter of an annular seal ring;
- securing the annular seal ring to the mounting assembly;
- and
- forming at least one of an admission side hook and a steam joint side hook in the annular seal ring, wherein the annular seal ring is supported by at least one riser extending from the mount assembly.

A method for fabricating a seal ring, said method comprising:
- positioning a mount assembly adjacent to at least one of an inner diameter and an outer diameter of a seal ring;
- securing the annular seal ring to the mounting assembly such that cutting tool access is provided to at least one of a first side and a second side of the seal ring while the seal ring is secured to the mounting assembly;
- forming at least one of an admission side hook and a steam joint side hook in the annular seal ring;
- and
- cutting a tooth profile into the inner diameter of the seal ring while the seal ring is positioned in the mounting assembly.
