Frame For Floral Foam

An apparatus comprising:

• a support structure configured to be pierced by stems of flowers to hold the flowers in place and to retain moisture, and having front and rear surfaces and two opposite side surfaces, the side surfaces extending along a longitudinal path, the support structure being segmented into at least two segments with a transversely-extending gap in-between;
• a plate-shaped spacer, of a different material than the support structure, that extends transversely within the gap;
• and
• a frame including longitudinal bands that extend in the longitudinal direction along the support structure and cross bands that extend about the support structure's front and side surfaces in directions that are perpendicular to the longitudinal band, each cross band crossing the longitudinal bands at crossing points and being perpendicular to and adjoined to and underlying the respective longitudinal band at each crossing point, the cross bands including a spacer-retaining band that overlies the spacer's front edge and side edges to retain the spacer in the gap.

An apparatus comprising:

• a support structure configured to be pierced by stems of flowers to hold the flowers in place and to retain moisture, and having front and rear surfaces and two opposite side surfaces, the side surfaces extending along a longitudinal path, the support structure being segmented into segments with transversely-extending gaps located between adjacent segments;
• plate-shaped spacers of a different material than the support structure, each spacer extending transversely within a respective one of the gaps, and each spacer having a peripheral section projecting laterally beyond the support structure;
• and
• a longitudinal band that extends in the longitudinal direction along the support structure and extends through the spacers' peripheral sections to prevent the spacers from slipping out of their respective gaps.
