Abstract
An approach is provided for displaying interactive preview information in a location-based user interface. A content mapping platform determines to render, at a device, a user interface for a location-based service based, at least in part, on a field of view. The content mapping platform determines one or more items outside of the field of view and then determines to render one or more user interface objects in the user interface. The one or more user interface objects present, at least in part, preview information associated with the one or more items.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining to render, at a device, a user interface for a location-based service based, at least in part, on a field of view;
- determining one or more items outside of the field of view;
- and
- determining to render one or more user interface objects in the user interface,
- wherein the one or more user interface objects present, at least in part, preview information associated with the one or more items.
An apparatus comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,
- the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,
- determine to render, at a device, a user interface for a location-based service based, at least in part, on a field of view;
- determine one or more items outside of the field of view;
- and
- determine to render one or more user interface objects in the user interface,
- wherein the one or more user interface objects present, at least in part, preview information associated with the one or more items.
A computer-readable storage medium carrying one or more sequences of one or more instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause an apparatus to at least perform the following steps:
- determining to render, at a device, a user interface for a location-based service based, at least in part, on a field of view;
- determining one or more items outside of the field of view;
- and
- determining to render one or more user interface objects in the user interface,
- wherein the one or more user interface objects present, at least in part, preview information associated with the one or more items.
