Abstract
A Graphical User Interface (GUI) Customization System provides users with applications that feature customized GUI configurations by applying one or more configuration parameters to common codebases in the applications without user intervention. Various embodiments of the GUI Customization System can provide different methods of acquiring, customizing, and providing applications and sets of configuration parameters to users.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving, from an application store, a request to provide an application associated with a first market brand;
- receiving from the application store, in conjunction with the request, a GUI configuration parameter associated with the first market brand;
- obtaining, from a codebase, an unconfigured application;
- and
- customizing the unconfigured application, using the GUI configuration parameter, to generate the application associated with the first market brand.
An apparatus comprising:
- a codebase, wherein the codebase stores a plurality of unconfigured applications;
- a first processing circuitry configured to:
- receive, from an application store, a request to provide an application associated with a first market brand;
- receive from the application store, in conjunction with the request, a GUI configuration parameter associated with the first market brand;
- obtain, from the codebase, an unconfigured application;
- and
- customize the unconfigured application, using the GUI configuration parameter, to generate the application associated with the first market brand.
A computer readable medium tangibly embodying a program of computer executable instructions, the program of instructions comprising:
- at least one instruction to receive, from an application store, a request to provide an application associated with a first market brand;
- at least one instruction to receive from the application store, in conjunction with the request, a GUI configuration parameter associated with the first market brand;
- at least one instruction to obtain, from a codebase, an unconfigured application;
- and
- at least one instruction to customize the unconfigured application, using the GUI configuration parameter, to generate the application associated with the first market brand.
