Abstract
A method and apparatus is disclosed that transmits a plug-in module to a web browser of a client computer. The web browser displays web content in a main window. The plug-in module, when activated, causes the web browser to display a user interface to a user of the client computer. The user interface is separate from the main window of the web browser, displays at least a portion of the web content, and is configured to enable the user to operate on the displayed at least a portion of the web content.

A method comprising:
- transmitting, by a server computer, a plug-in module to a web browser of a client computer, the web browser displaying web content in a main window,
- wherein the plug-in module, when activated, causes the web browser to display a user interface to a user of the client computer, the user interface
- separate from the main window of the web browser,
- displaying at least a portion of the web content, and
- configured to enable the user to operate on the displayed at least a portion of the web content.
A server computer comprising:
- a processor;
- a storage medium for tangibly storing thereon program logic for execution by the processor, the program logic comprising:
- transmission logic executed by the processor for transmitting a plug-in module to a web browser of a client computer, the web browser displaying web content in a main window,
- wherein the plug-in module, when activated, causes the web browser to display a user interface to a user of the client computer, the user interface
- separate from the main window of the web browser,
- displaying at least a portion of the web content, and
- configured to enable the user to operate on the displayed at least a portion of the web content.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer program instructions configured to instruct a computer processor to at least:
- display, as a plug-in module to a web browser of a client computer configured to display web content in a main window, a first user interface as part of a controller on the main window of the web browser;
- and
- receive a user input to activate the first user interface on the main window of the web browser, while the web content is displayed in the main window;
- and
- in response to the user input, display a second user interface while the web content is displayed in the main window, the second user interface being separate from the main window of the web browser and configured to
- selectively present a portion of the web content displayed in the main window,
- receive user created content regarding the web content displayed in the main window,
- receive a user request for submission of the user created content, and
- in response to the user request, communicate the user created content from the web browser to a predetermined server computer over a network.
