Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for setting a channel power offset. A load of a cell is obtained and compared with a preset threshold value. A channel power offset value of a user equipment in the cell is set according to a comparison result. In the embodiments of the present invention, the channel power offset value may be flexibly set according to a load state of the cell.

A method for setting a channel power offset, the method comprising:
- obtaining a load of a cell;
- comparing the obtained load of the cell with a preset threshold value;
- and
- setting a channel power offset value of a user equipment in the cell according to a result of comparing the obtained load of the cell with the preset threshold value.
A base station comprising an apparatus configured to obtain a load of a cell, to compare the obtained load with a preset threshold value, and to set a channel power offset value of a user equipment in the cell according to a result of the comparison of the obtained load and the preset threshold value.
An apparatus for setting a channel power offset, the apparatus comprising:
- an obtaining unit, configured to obtain a load of a cell;
- and
- a parameter setting unit, configured to compare the load obtained by the obtaining unit with a preset threshold value, and to set a channel power offset value of a user equipment in the cell according to a result of the comparison of the obtained load of the cell and the preset threshold value.
