Abstract
A communications system according to certain embodiments includes a mobile device and a second type of communications system, such as a landline telephone system, that share usage information. The shared information can include call logs of in-coming and out-going calls, missed calls, text messages, address book information, GPS data, internet browsing data, and the like.

A method of synchronizing data in different devices comprising:
- sending usage information from a mobile device to a landline telephone system;
- and
- receiving user input that initiates a call on the landline telephone system using the usage information obtained from the mobile device.
A method of synchronizing data in different devices comprising:
- sending usage information from a landline telephone system to a mobile device;
- and
- receiving user input that initiates a call on the mobile device using the usage information obtained from the landline telephone system.
A method of synchronizing data in different devices comprising:
- receiving, by a server over a network, usage information from a mobile device,
- receiving, by a server over a network, usage information from a landline telephone system,
- combing the usage information from the mobile device with usage information from the landline telephone system;
- and
- sending the combined information to the mobile device or the landline system.
