Abstract
Methods and apparatus to obtain transaction information are described. One example method includes conducting a transaction using a proximity-based communication link, storing information related to the transaction in a database of a mobile device, identifying a service based on the information, querying the service from the mobile device, wherein the query is based on the information, and obtaining detail of the transaction from the service based on the information. Other implementations are possible.

A method comprising:
- conducting a transaction using a proximity-based communication link;
- storing information related to the transaction in a database of a mobile device;
- identifying a service based on the information;
- querying the service from the mobile device, wherein the query is based on the information;
- and
- obtaining detail of the transaction from the service based on the information.

- a close-proximity communication device;
- a memory associated with the close-proximity communication device;
- a network connectivity module;
- and
- a processor coupled with the close-proximity communication device and the network connectivity module, wherein the controller is programmed to:
- conduct a transaction using the close-proximity communication device;
- store information related to the transaction in the memory;
- identify a service based on the information;
- query the service based on the information;
- and
- obtain detail of the transaction from the service based on the information using the network connectivity.
