A method for screening active agents capable of treating at least one cutaneous sign of aging. The agents are identified based on their ability to stimulate fructosamine-3-kinase (FN3K) and/or fructosamine-3-kinase-related protein (FN3K RP) expression.

A method for screening active agents capable of treating at least one sign of aging of the skin, comprising:
- measuring the ability of a compound or a mixture of compounds to stimulate fructosamine-3-kinase (FN3K) and/or fructosamine-3-kinase-related protein (FN3K RP) expression,
- wherein an active agent capable of treating at least one cutaneous sign of aging stimulates FN3K and/or FN3K RP expression.
