Abstract
A suppository is provided for rectal, vaginal or urethral administration. A method also is provided for the preparation of a suppository for rectal, vaginal or urethral administration. The method uses at least one unsaturated, non-esterified fatty acid in a composition containing a probiotic and an antibiotic.
Claims18
A suppository for rectal, vaginal or urethral administration comprising at least one probiotic, at least one antibiotic, and at least one unsaturated, non-esterified fatty acid.
A method for administration of an antibiotic and/or a probiotic comprising:
- preparing a suppository comprising the antibiotic and/or probiotic and at least one unsaturated, non-esterified fatty acid;
- and administering the suppository rectally, vaginally or urethrally, wherein the resorption of the antibiotic is increased.
