Abstract
The camera body includes the body mount, the CMOS imaging sensor, and the identification information acquisition section. The body mount is provided so that the interchangeable lens unit can be mounted. The CMOS imaging sensor is configured to convert an optical image into an image signal. The identification information acquisition section is configured to acquire lens identification information indicating whether or not an interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging from the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount.
Claims59
A camera body for producing image data on the basis of an optical image formed by an interchangeable lens unit, the camera body comprising:
- a body mount to which the interchangeable lens unit can be mounted;
- an imaging element configured to convert the optical image into an image signal;
- and
- an identification information acquisition section with which lens identification information indicating whether or not the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging can be acquired from the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount;
- a camera-side determination section configured to determine whether or not the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount is compatible with three-dimensional imaging on the basis of the lens identification information;
- a characteristic information acquisition section configured to acquire lens characteristic information indicating characteristics of the optical system installed in the interchangeable lens unit from the interchangeable lens unit;
- the characteristic information acquisition section acquires the lens characteristic information from the interchangeable lens unit when it has been determined by the camera-side determination section that the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging;
- and
- the lens characteristic information including data with which it is possible to identify whether or not parallel imaging is employed in the interchangeable lens unit.

A method for controlling a camera body configured to produce image data on the basis of an optical image formed by an interchangeable lens unit, the method comprising:
- an identification information acquisition step in which lens identification information indicating whether or not the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging can be acquired from the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount;
- a determination step for determining whether or not the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount is compatible with three-dimensional imaging on the basis of the lens identification information;
- a characteristic information acquisition step for acquiring lens characteristic information indicating characteristics of the optical system installed in the interchangeable lens unit from the interchangeable lens unit, when it has been determined by the camera-side determination section that the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging, the lens characteristic information includes data with which it is possible to identify whether or not parallel imaging is employed in the interchangeable lens unit.

A program configured to cause a computer to perform a method for controlling a camera body configured to produce image data on the basis of an optical image formed by an interchangeable lens unit, the method comprising:
- an identification information acquisition step in which lens identification information indicating whether or not the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging can be acquired from the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount;
- a determination step for determining whether or not the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount is compatible with three-dimensional imaging on the basis of the lens identification information;
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program configured to cause a computer to perform a method for controlling a camera body configured to produce image data on the basis of an optical image formed by an interchangeable lens unit, the method comprising:
- an identification information acquisition step in which lens identification information indicating whether or not the interchangeable lens unit is compatible with three-dimensional imaging can be acquired from the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount;
- a determination step for determining whether or not the interchangeable lens unit mounted to the body mount is compatible with three-dimensional imaging on the basis of the lens identification information;
