Abstract
Magnetic resonance reconstruction includes motion compensation. Inverse-consistent non-rigid registration is used to determine motion between shots. The motion is incorporated into reconstruction. The incorporation compensates for the motion resulting from the period over which the MR data is acquired.
Claims22
A method for motion compensated magnetic resonance reconstruction, the method comprising:
- acquiring, for each of multiple coils, magnetic resonance data representing an interior region of a patient with multiple shots;
- performing, for each of the multiple coils, an initial reconstruction for each of the shots;
- determining, for each of the multiple coils, motion between the initial reconstructions of the multiple shots with an inverse-consistent non-rigid registration;
- reconstructing, for each of the multiple coils, a coil image with a matrix inversion solver as a function of the motion and the magnetic resonance data for the multiple shots, the coil images for the multiple coils representing the interior region of the patient;
- combining the coil images from the multiple coils into an output image;
- and
- displaying the output image representing the interior region of the patient.
In a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, having stored therein data representing instructions executable by a programmed processor for motion compensated magnetic resonance reconstruction, the storage medium comprising instructions for:
- acquiring magnetic resonance data with multiple shots;
- determining motion between the shots of the multiple shots, the determining comprising applying an inverse-consistent non-rigid registration;
- and
- reconstructing an image as a function of the magnetic resonance data from the multiple shots and the determined motion.
In a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, having stored therein data representing instructions executable by a programmed processor for motion compensated magnetic resonance reconstruction, the storage medium comprising instructions for:
- performing multi-segment magnetic resonance imaging;
- and
- compensating for motion in the multi-segment magnetic resonance imaging with an inverse-consistent non-rigid registration.
