Abstract
This disclosure relates to chrysene compounds with deep blue emission that are useful in electroluminescent applications. It also relates to electronic devices in which the active layer includes such a chrysene compound.
Claims11
1-18. (canceled)
A compound having Formula I:
- wherein:
- Ar1 and Ar3 are the same or different and are aryl, and at least one of Ar1 and Ar3 has at least one electron-withdrawing substituent;
- Ar2 and Ar4 are the same or different and are aryl;
- R1, R2, R5 and R7 through R11 are H;
- R3 is an electron-withdrawing group;
- R4 is selected from the group consisting of H and an electron-withdrawing group;
- wherein the electron-withdrawing group is selected from the group consisting of fluoro, perfluoroalkyl, perfluoroaryl, nitro, —SO2R, where R is alkyl or perfluoroalkyl, and combinations thereof;
- and wherein said compound is capable of emitting deep blue light.
5 more elements
