Abstract
A control circuit for a PMDC motor used in an ice delivery apparatus, the circuit including a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit and peripheral circuitry connected between a power source and the double pole double throw relay to rectify the power source and power the PMDC motor.
Claims7
A control circuit for a PMDC motor used in an ice delivery apparatus, the circuit comprising:
- a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit;
- and
- peripheral circuitry connected between a power source and the double pole double throw relay to rectify the power source and power the PMDC motor,
- wherein
- the double pole double throw relay and switches from a first set of wires to a second set of wires in order to control three functions.
A gear motor assembly for delivering ice, the gear motor assembly comprising:
- a PMDC gear motor;
- an AC to DC power source;
- and
- circuit comprising a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit.
An ice delivery system comprising:
- a housing for storing ice;
- a PMDC gear motor assembly mounted within the housing;
- an AC to DC power line;
- a circuit for rectifying the AC power line to supply the PMDC gear motor, the circuit comprising a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit;
- an output shaft attached to the gear motor assembly, the output shaft selectively rotatable in opposite directions;
- and
- an implement attached to the output shaft for manipulating the ice.
A method for dispensing or delivering ice comprising the steps of:
- providing a housing with a PMDC gear motor assembly positioned therein;
- providing a DC power source to the housing;
- providing a circuit for rectifying the AC power line to supply the PMDC gear motor, the circuit comprising a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit;
- and
- powering the PMDC gear motor assembly to operate ice dispensing or ice delivery.
A main gear box comprising:
- a periphery wall, the periphery wall comprising the outside of the main gear box;
- an interior wall located inside of the periphery wall;
- a PMDC gear motor housed within the main gear box on a side of the interior wall facing away from the periphery wall;
- an AC to DC power source;
- and
- circuit comprising a double pole double throw relay that switches both sides of the circuit.
