Abstract
A PGC-1 expression-modulating device (1) according to the present invention includes an ultrasonic wave transmitting section (14) that irradiates a subject living body with ultrasonic waves. This configuration modulates PGC-1 expression in a living body and promotes angiogenesis in which VEGF is involved. This enables promoting angiogenesis in a living body and treating ischemic disease without an excessive burden on a patient.

A device for modulating PGC-1 expression, comprising:
- ultrasonic irradiation means for irradiating a subject with ultrasonic waves.
A treating method for ischemic disease, comprising:
- an expression promoting step of irradiating a living body with ultrasonic waves to promote PGC-1 expression.
