An aqueous slurry comprising a composite, wherein the composite comprises inorganic pigment microparticles and/or filler microparticles having a phosphated surface, coated at least partially with a composition comprising alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles and a binder, wherein

• the spherical equivalent diameter of the surface-phosphated pigment and/or filler microparticles is in the micrometer range, determined by the sedimentation method, and the spherical equivalent diameter of the alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles is in the nanometer range, determined by the sedimentation method;
• and
• the binder is a copolymer comprising one or more dicarboxylic acids as the monomer;
• one or more monomers from the group of diamines, triamines, dialkanolamines or trialkanolamines and epichlorohydrin.

Paper, paint or plastic comprising a composite or a slurry thereof, wherein the composite comprises inorganic pigment microparticles and/or filler microparticles having a phosphated surface, coated at least partially with a composition comprising alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles and a binder, wherein

• the spherical equivalent diameter of the surface-phosphated pigment and/or filler microparticles is in the micrometer range, determined by the sedimentation method, and the spherical equivalent diameter of the alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles is in the nanometer range, determined by the sedimentation method;
• and
• the binder is a copolymer comprising one or more dicarboxylic acids as the monomer;
• one or more monomers from the group of diamines, triamines, dialkanolamines or trialkanolamines and epichlorohydrin.

A filler, pigment or filtration aid comprising a composite or a slurry thereof, wherein the composite comprises inorganic pigment microparticles and/or filler microparticles having a phosphated surface, coated at least partially with a composition comprising alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles and a binder, wherein

• the spherical equivalent diameter of the surface-phosphated pigment and/or filler microparticles is in the micrometer range, determined by the sedimentation method, and the spherical equivalent diameter of the alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles is in the nanometer range, determined by the sedimentation method;
• and
• the binder is a copolymer comprising one or more dicarboxylic acids as the monomer;
• one or more monomers from the group of diamines, triamines, dialkanolamines or trialkanolamines and epichlorohydrin.

A coating colour comprising a composite or a slurry thereof, wherein the composite comprises inorganic pigment microparticles and/or filler microparticles having a phosphated surface, coated at least partially with a composition comprising alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles and a binder, wherein

• the spherical equivalent diameter of the surface-phosphated pigment and/or filler microparticles is in the micrometer range, determined by the sedimentation method, and the spherical equivalent diameter of the alkaline earth carbonate nanoparticles is in the nanometer range, determined by the sedimentation method;
• and
• the binder is a copolymer comprising one or more dicarboxylic acids as the monomer;
• one or more monomers from the group of diamines, triamines, dialkanolamines or trialkanolamines and epichlorohydrin.
