The present invention relates to methods for treating or preventing hyperacidic disorders such as GERD or NERD using calcium receptor active compounds.

A method for treatment of a hyperacidic disease or disorder comprising administering an effective amount of a calcilytic compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a subject in need thereof.
A method for treatment of a hyperacidic disorder comprising administering an effective amount of a calcimimetic compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with a PPI to a subject in need thereof.
