Abstract
The disclosed optical glass contains, by weight, 20-32% SiO2, 6-10% Li2O (exclusive of 6%), 3-18% Na2O, 3-20% K2O, 8-30% TiO2, 10-55% Nb2O5, 0.3-3% B2O3, 0-3% Gd2O3, 0-3% Y2O3, 0-3% La2O3 (with Gd2O3+Y2O3+La2O3≧0.5%), 0-2% Bi2O3, 0-2% WO3, 0-2% SnO2, and has a refractive index (nd) of 1.78-1.85, and an Abbe number (vd) of 23-35.

An optical glass comprising, by weight:
- 20% to 32% of SiO2;
- 6% to 10% of Li2O (6% exclusive);
- 3% to 18% of Na2O;
- 3% to 20% of K2O;
- 8% to 30% of TiO2;
- 35% to 41% of Nb2O5;
- 0.3% to 3% of B2O3;
- 0% to 3% of Gd2O3;
- 0% to 3% of Y2O3;
- 0% to 3% of La2O3,
- Gd2O3+Y2O3+La2O3≧0.5%;
- 0% to 2% of Bi2O3;
- 0% to 2% of WO3;
- and
- 0% to 2% of SnO2, wherein
- the glass has a refractive index (nd) in a range of 1.78 to 1.85 and an Abbe number (vd) in a range of 23 to 35.
