Abstract
A gaming platform is presented where various types of non-game domains can be incorporated into a game as a game component. Two or more domains, possibly a website, can become a territory within an online game where players cooperate or compete to dominate the website. The domains can be bridged or otherwise linked to form a game map topology, and allow movement of a player's units from one domain to another. The game space can be presented to players as an overlay in a browser allowing players to engage the game and browse domain content without necessarily affecting the underlying website.
Claims26
A game server platform comprising:
- a game agent interface configured to couple with at least one game agent capable of (a) presenting a bridge linking a first and second domain and (b) browsing the first and second bridged domains;

- and
- wherein the first and second bridged domains comprise at least one of the game components.
A gaming interface comprising:
- a computing device configured to execute a browser application capable of presenting (a) a bridge linking a first and second domain, and (b) network accessible domain content from first and second bridged domains, to a user;
- a game agent coupled with the browser application, and configured to exchange game content with a game server distinct from the first and second bridged domains and to present the game content overlaid with the domain content;
