Abstract
Compositions are provided that comprises a biocompatible polymeric matrix incorporating an effective amount of a phytochemical agent, a combination of phytochemical agents, or a phytochemical agent and one or more additional therapeutic agents. Methods of treating a cancer using the compositions are further provided.

A composition, comprising a biocompatible polymeric matrix incorporating an effective amount of a phytochemical agent, wherein the composition releases a controlled low dose of the phytochemical agent over a time period.
A method for treating a cancer, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising a biocompatible polymeric matrix incorporating a phytochemical agent, wherein the phytochemical agent is incorporated into and released over a time period from the biocompatible polymeric matrix at a controlled low dose of the phytochemical agent.
