Abstract
An attachment device for identifying one or more constituents within a fluid includes a first end configured to selectively attach to an opening of a container of holding a fluid, and a sensor coupled to the attachment body. The sensor further includes one or more sensor elements positioned to detect and analyze a fluid within the container. The sensor is further configured to perform one or more tests on the fluid, wherein the one or more tests are useful in identifying one or more constituents within the fluid.
Claims19
An attachment device for identifying one or more parameters of a fluid, comprising:
- a first end configured to selectively attach to an opening of a container;
- and
- a sensor having a sensor element, the sensor element being positioned within an internal chamber of the attachment device, the sensor being configured to perform at least one test to identify one or more parameters of a fluid within the internal chamber.
A system for identifying one or more constituents within a fluid, comprising:
- a first end configured to selectively attach to an opening in a container of fluid;
- an internal lumen having a fluid pathway between the first end and the internal lumen;
- a sensor having a sensor element positioned within the internal lumen, the sensor being configured to detect at least one parameter of the fluid;
- and
- a processor unit operably connected to the sensor of the attachment device.
A method of identifying one or more constituents within a fluid, the method comprising:
- attaching an attachment device to an opening of a container having a fluid, the attachment device having a sensor embedded therein, the sensor having one or more sensor elements positioned to contact a portion of the fluid within an internal chamber of the attachment device, the sensor being configured to perform at least one test on the fluid, wherein the at least one test is useful in identifying one or more characteristics of the fluid;
- operably connecting the attachment device to a processor unit;
- and
- identifying one or more characteristics of the fluid using the processor unit, wherein the processor unit processes a sensor measurement from the sensor to identify the one or more characteristics of the fluid.
The method of claim 17, further comprising a step for displaying the identity of the one or more constituents on a display unit operably connected to the processor unit.
The method of claim 18, wherein the processor unit is operably connected to an EMR system, the method further comprising a step whereby the processor unit records the identity of one or more constituents in the fluid in the EMR system.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
