Abstract
A method is provided for operating a power plant, having a waste heat-generating gas turbine unit and also rooms which are to be air conditioned. Waste heat, which is discharged directly to the outside of the gas turbine unit, is used for heating the rooms which are to be air conditioned. A gas turbine for carrying out the method is also provided.

A method for operating a power plant (33), comprising a waste heat-generating gas turbine unit (10) and rooms (24) to be air conditioned, the method comprising using waste heat, which is discharged directly to an exterior of the gas turbine unit (10), to heat the rooms (24) which are to be air conditioned.
A gas turbine unit (10) for implementing a method for operating a power plant (33), comprising a waste heat-generating gas turbine unit (10) and rooms (24) to be air conditioned, the method comprising using waste heat, which is discharged directly to an exterior of the gas turbine unit (10), to heat the rooms (24) which are to be air conditioned, wherein the gas turbine unit (10) is covered by enclosures (11, 12, 13), in which the waste heat accumulates, and wherein waste heat dischargers (25a,b, . . . 32a,b) are provided to discharge waste heat with exhaust air from the enclosures (11, 12, 13) into the rooms (24) which are to be heated.
