Abstract
Disclosed is a pigment composition comprising a metal complex of azo compound of formula 1 containing at least one pyrimidine or a pyrimidine derivative. The pigment composition exhibits improved color characteristics, improved stability and easy dispersion.

A pigment composition comprising a metal complex of azo compound of formula 1 containing at least one pyrimidine or a pyrimidine derivative:
- wherein R and R′ each independently represent OH, NH2, NH—CN, acylamino or arylamino;
- and R1 and R1′ each independently represent —OH or —NH2.
